@LFCApproved I mostly agree, but I think you underestimate how long people used to go about bad decisions for! I still see screenshots pop up of that awful Sterling offside away at City, for example. And the favouritisim arguments would be 10x worse than they already are.
@edwinhayward Look up the compounded inflation figures since 1976, and that £460k isn't worth very much in real terms! Would buy you much less in real terms than the current state pension. Would also cost billions a year to fund, plus uncertainty - imagine a market crash just as you retire!
@DaleJohnsonESPN@Taxi4Conor @FA_PGMOL And of course the one non-factual use in cricket (whether a catch is taken cleanly or not) results in just as many arguments as football VAR!
@JKD_LFC@Sargesbackheel@DaleJohnsonESPN It says "if the referee hadn't given this as a penalty the VAR wouldn't have stepped in", which sounds like ref's call to me!
@saka_stan@DaleJohnsonESPN The link is called VAR Review - the ref blew his whistle, so there was no VAR possible.
(And if there was VAR, they would have seen two fouls and a handball)
@GraemeKelly1 Of course he's not fully in the cycle lane, there's traffic cones in it! (You can see a yellow flash right at the beginning of the clip, as well as the ones near the end)
@donnarasdale The AllTrails app lets you filter by wheelchair accessible. Doesn't show a huge number round here, but there might be the odd one that's different!
@HarryHamishGray @KyleNewman98 Not sure about Manchester, but here in Sheffield even though the signs just say bus and "taxi" the council has a list of other types of authorised vehicles including private hire: https://t.co/QnBHolmHxU
Dear #WhiskySanta, please may you put @glenfarclas 42yo 1977 from @MasterofMalt under my tree? I've been really good this year! https://t.co/TzBLFLta5Q
@thewerman100 @Thief_Pete @jhattoncomedy This story is from the UK. Most people here get a 2 or 3 year fixed rate mortgage, refinance and repeat over the life of it. I've never heard of anyone keeping a single deal the whole term. So if your deal expires just as interest rates have shot up, it can be a shock!
