The C3S global temperature trend monitor, based on #ERA5, allows you to explore how the estimate of the time to 1.5°C global warming has changed in recent years. While it should not be interpreted as a forecast, it does show trends in global warming.
Fiona, the narrowboat owner said, ‘We’re very grateful to the RNLI. It’s horrible when you feel like you are alone in a difficult situation, but we weren’t - the RNLI were there for us that day!’

As a charity we rely on incredible fundraisers like John, who was saved from drowning by the RNLI when he was just fourteen, and Jill and Diane who together have given 118 years of support, enabling the @RNLI to continue to save lives. #rnli#teddington

We would urge members of the public not to enter the water if they see somebody in difficulty, but to dial 999. Keep an eye on the person, tell them to float on their back, throw them something that will help them float. Look out for emergency throw bags stationed along the river.
It's hot out there, but water temperatures remain dangerously cold. If you’re heading to the coast or a river remember to #FloatToLive if you get into trouble in the water. In an emergency, call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard. #Heatwave
#FloatToLive:
- Tilt your head back with ears submerged
- Relax & try to control your breathing
- Move your hands to help stay afloat
- Once over the initial shock, call for help or swim to safety
- Call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard.
Remember it. Share it.
