@samnewman @awscloud or maybe use cases where microservice integration using direct calls, queues or streams (Kafka / Kinesis) are not suitable? Such as very very long running processes.

@samnewman Back in the day BPM could hve steps make WS calls. Had chat with @awscloud step functions team, told them then could look at old BPMN & hierarchy 4 reuse .. for #lambda it makes sense in state machine & cheaper than having a wait in a lambda. only used in my hack & vidcourse ATM.
