Organizers in Chicago have several actions planned about this (Nov 24th and Dec 5). If you live in or around Chicago, show up and demand justice for these kids. I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through.
@HowtoADHD Chap sticks. always losing em. Lanyards on caribiners for keys. Timers? Post-it notes. Colorful pens/markers for color coding stuff. Extra phone chargers 😅😂.
my conspiracy theory is that Kim and Pete were already hanging out as friends but now they’re being forced to date by the Jenners publicists to distract us from Travis and Astroworld
@yarpegleg@AdultingADHD Yes! Consider if it may not be worth trying to convince ppl that ur ADHD is real and a valid reason. Ur supervisor needs to understand, and maybe peers you collab with. But if its a rando who's judging you, maybe not worth ur energy trying to convince them ur not a lazy fk up!
@yarpegleg@AdultingADHD Or if u have poor working memory, u might struggle to complete tasks MORE than sm1 w/out ADHD. Since our brains r understimulated (idk what this means except that we have less dopamine, the "doing stuff and learning" neurotransmitter) we might take longer to finish some tasks.
@yarpegleg@AdultingADHD I think it might help to communicate WHY those seemingly normal/common behaviors are results of or are chronic in ppl w ADHD.
Ie if u have less ability to pay consistent attention while you're trying to do a task, ur more likely 2 miss details.
@ok_girlfriend@AdultingADHD When we state our reason for something, and it "sounds like an excuse". I think it is honestly a valid explanation. What seems like a dumb reason to one person may be an actual valid obstacle for a person w ADHD due to their impairments. I'm trying to be less apologetic about it.
Frito-Lay workers in Topeka, Kansas, are on strike for fair pay, humane schedules and safe working conditions. The company is starting to suffer the consequences of years of mistreating its workers.
idk who in their early 20s needs to hear this, but something clicks for a lot of people around age 24-26 where you suddenly feel like a different person in an overwhelmingly positive way and you experience a sense of control you've never had
@KimCrayton1@blkgirllostkeys If you're on a screen, highlight a few lines at a time as you go. If it's a paper copy, use a card or ruler to keep under the line you're on, move it down as u read
