@harvilla I really, really liked it for all those reasons. The action is great, and the character work and thematic development are excellent, which is very unique for a Godzilla movie!
@harvilla It's a tricky. If they're comfortable with subtitles and have some interest in the Pacific WWII (kamikazes, bombing Tokyo, reconstruction) then yes. But this is old-school, original flavor Godzilla -- a damn MONSTER -- not a kaiju-punching hero. It's a A- version of a B movie.
@Melanism@jowrotethis Agreed! Even a Prestige TV Hall of Fame nod would be nice - even if narrowing to a single episode would be daunting. Book III? V? VI?
I read this passage and immediately raced to the computer, knowing such prime Olyphant walk content had to be shared with @jowrotethis. From the FANTASTIC and LOVELY "The Deadwood Bible" by @MZSPress -- if you adore Deadwood, you will love this tremendous book.
On behalf of all who parented a child in the 00's, I salute the selection committee's inclusion of Caillou in the Jerks Bracket. It's important to highlight that even a preschooler can be a complete dipstick.
Heroes and villains can get a little boring, but in between those two poles lies a character who’s often much more exciting, more thrilling, and more reflective of the ridiculous world we live in. Welcome to the Best Pop Culture Jerks Bracket:

@the2halfsquads Nice! Suggestion: if you’re finding ranged weapons to be dominant, consider adding more terrain. Per the rules: “It really shouldn’t be possible for a figure on the ground to draw line of site to any point more than a foot or so away.” Frostgrave loves clutter.
@HoushangLivian You account for (and encourage) innovation within the review process. A design system should feel owned by the full UX staff that uses it -- not just the dedicated team of stewards. Look for new ideas that extend the system in ways that can be broadly useful!
Everything Everywhere All At Once is fantastic and completely original. Watching it created emotional echos of seeing Being John Malkovich back in 1999. Hilarious, transgressive, kind and dazzling. I LOVED it.
