@BristolCity The "Main Man" wouldnt be the quote if there was intention of bringing in other leading strikers. I know he said it in the interview, but it's a choice to make a feature out of it.
Also must be an odd one for other strikers already in the squad.
Anyway great signing
@PVFC2022 Tbh it may be a style of play thing. Also no one was great last season - but he did get a few opportunities under Brady and never grabbed it.
I do really like him though and hope he does get fixed up if this is true
Argentina are the only team out of all 48 participants not to have a single VAR intervention against them, despite committing the most fouls in the tournament. Do you even realize how insane that is?
@theiconic15@AaronBastani We were too light in CM back then. Evolution of Rice and emergence of Anderson has given us a bit more. Problem is the players outside those three have not had enough England game time or are past it (hendo)
The big miss this comp was an unfit Saka.
@JamesMcManus1 One of the positives this tournament is the emergence of Anderson as a top class international CM.
We need atleast two more to break through by the next Euros, as ultimately we went shit when Rice got ill and for whatever reason Mainoo not give a chance.
@GuillemBalague We had three CMs we trusted and the wheels came off once Rice got ill.
Hopefully Scott and Wharton kick on and are more trusted by the Euros.
@HITCSevens 5 minutes after our goal and it was clear we would be sat deep should of put Rashford on for Gordon - and hate to say it even Madueke for Rogers.
As you say if we were going to drop back a bit then atleast some pace on the break would have helped.
@England@FIFAWorldCup This squad did great, but lacked depth in CM. Rice clearly unfit for the last two games, and both games we lost control.
Need another couple of CMs to come to the fore like Anderson has for the euros. What was the point in bringing mainoo if not trusted to play
@BuckyBCFC@ADrewett38319@RobinNestBCFC Tolaj is always a presence and puts himself about. Ballard the kind of striker who could do nothing all game, but then pop up with a goal.
Which would be better will fully depend on what other players are signed and the system we choose to play. Both excellent options
@BristolCityFM It showed to me the actual lack of depth we have at top end in CM.
Henderson's arm is a blow, but clearly doesn't trust Mainoo (why take him). Could have done with a player like Wharton in the squad too.
The game went really ragged until we could adapt post Rice coming off.
@deadbooshmaster@MrHarryCole Most of the ones that catch on really quickly are just to recognisable tunes or rhythms that have been sung with different lyrics in the past.
Most seasons there are one or two new ones that emerge across the football league - usually adapted from pop songs we all know.
@JudeBCFC Man utds goalkeeper transfers and squad building have been so bad for so long. This doesn't suprise me.
Tbh though much better for Vitek to go on loan again and play, then benchwarm so maybe they know what they are doing
@claire_adams694 Not defending the Burnham stuff but it's a fact that he moved from mayor of manchester to becoming an MP.
The farage thing is ridiculous as he is contesting a seat he chose to leave. Just performative nonsense.
@OfficialPVFC@BuxtonsLimited I am up for this. I trust Brady to get the best out of him. His Cheltenham loan was good, and atleast we won't need a long bedding in phase as he knows the club / set up.
@JonD_BCFC He is decent but agree it's asking a lg2 striker to help with a championship playoff push.
I know he scored 19 in a relegation season but do wonder how his physical ability would stand up against athletic championship defenders.
