#HappeningNow in Abidjan 🇨🇮: At the Multistakeholder Consultation on “Business4Peace: Leveraging Trade Opportunities for Peace & Prosperity in the MRU,”

During a UNCT field mission led by UN Resident Coordinator Seraphine Wakana @swakana99, UNDP DRR @KevinPetrini visited Sierra Tropical Limited to engage youth trained through a UNDP-private sector partnership. 106 youth gained market-ready skills, with 15+ now employed as machine operators.

Fully funded by @UNDPSierraLeone the Mongo–Falaba Youth Connekt Centre hosted the UN Country Team during a 3-day mission led by @UNSierraLeone with government and UN partners.

Led by UNDP #DRR @KevinPetrini the visit spotlighted the district’s only youth hub, building digital and entrepreneurial skills through a computer lab and livelihoods like fish farming and car wash.

During the high-level CF mission, @UNSierraLeone and @UNDPSierraLeone Leone DRR @Kevin Petrini visited Sinkunia PHU—one of 34 facilities in Koinadugu & Falaba solarized under #SolarForHealth.

With support from @UNDP and the @GlobalFund , in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone, solar energy is powering 24/7 care. In areas where rural electricity is just 4.9%, this means safer births and stronger health services.
