The sensors merely collect data, the critical aspects of successful driving are accurate contextual interpretation and correct decision making with minimal control latency. All of which redundancy inhibit.
That said, the redundancy humans use to enhance visual information when driving is sound, something I believe Tesla plans on including.
However, if sensory acuity was the primary attribute required to avoid accidents an eagle would be able to drive much safer than a human.
Explain to me how Trump collapsed our medical system, created record high Canadian youth unemployment, a simultaneous housing crisis and bubble, destroyed our productivity and caused massive amounts of capital flight, which is only superseded by the growth of government debt that has not provided any benefits to taxpayers?
@chamath I think the first principles problem is that people are being compelled to gamble as a way of earning income to fund their basic needs instead of having sufficient resources to fund gambling as a recreational hobby
@JohnPasalis Appreciate the perspective you have on real estate. It differentiates you from a lot of your peers.
In my opinion, that’s usually a good thing in most contexts.
@CHEK_News I have a better idea, fund the child’s medicine, hire some doctors, nurses and support staff.
Raise the money by firing all the bureaucrats and replace them with AI— problem solved
The real choice for Canadians is whether or not they want to return to the resource based, productive economy that allowed previous generations to prosper.
Or, do they want to continue with the low productivity, money printing, high-debt real estate bubble economy of this century that is directly linked to our social instability.
Choose wisely Boomers—- it’s your grandchildren’s future that’s on the line, not yours
This is a very important time for Canada, we have serious issues to address. Most of them are our own doing, collapsing medical system, decimated small towns, a housing bubble and crisis all rolled into one in urban areas. A critical lack of opportunity for young people.
Canada is in big trouble if the issues facing us in this election are debated at such a silly level. Politics as usual simply isn’t good enough anymore, GET BETTER!
@Tesla I use FSD on curvy mountain highways with poor signage and road markings. Does a good job, each update improves decision making and handling. Next step is solving edge cases, such as slushy roads and deer.
Disagreeing with the original statement (or retweet) is valid. But, next time include the entire quote instead of intentionally misrepresenting it.
Or, are your arguments so weak that the only counter argument you can think of is that people with different perspectives than you are Nazis?
@MarkJCarney Call Trump’s bluff, go to Washington and propose tariff free trade on all goods and services, including labour.
Have confidence that Canadians can compete with anyone if the playing field is level.
@lexfridman With compassion for those who are unfairly suffering through this disruptive era, I believe society will ultimately emerge more equitable as a result of the current turmoil. Much like a forest fire’s destruction is the antecedent to a more vibrant ecosystem.
Potential discussion for the LH
Question: Would Canada lose a significant portion of its skilled, young (20/40yr) people to the US if they were provided with low barrier entry to work?
Follow up: What would the implications be for a country with an aging population dependent on elevated real estate prices and government deficit spending?
@harleyf I’m probably going to buy SHOP on the dip tomorrow morning, problem is that I can’t find any other Canadian businesses that interest me. Just more attractive investment opportunities outside of the country.
