HISTORY HAPPY HOUR. THE GHOST ARMY doc and book. The GREATEST STORIES NEVER TOLD book series. RIVALS UNTO DEATH on Hamilton and Burr. Plus I'm a sculler!
Rev250 event of the day — At noon #OTD Dec 28, 1773, the people of Charlestown burned all the tea in town in the market square.
After dark, Bostonians burned what was left of a half-chest of tea that had floated to Dorchester and been found by a poor man who tried to sell it.
Attended an early screening of the "Napoleon" movie... it would be an understatement to say that it is bad... Waterloo being fought in what appear to be trenches is just one of a litany of problems... why, Sir Ridley, why?!
So the nice flight attendant comes over, hands me my tea & a pin, & says "I'm supposed to congratulate you for passing the 1 million mile mark with us, but what I really want to say is you travel too much." An unexpected human moment that made this traveler's day. Thx @delta
SSG Elmere Wright was born on this day in 1915. He lived in Bedford and played professional baseball before being called up for service. Wright was so good that it was widely predicted he would make the majors if he survived the war. He is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery
