Anthropic shutting down Fable 5 is a trust event.
Users are not only frustrated because a model went offline.
They are realizing their entire workflow can depend on a closed API that can disappear overnight for reasons they do not control.
That is the real platform risk.
This will push builders toward multi-model setups, open-source fallbacks, private inference, and sovereign AI.
The lesson is simple:
Don’t build critical infrastructure on one model, one provider, one jurisdiction.
AI is moving toward diversification.
And every shutdown accelerates it.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

@kapilansh_twt You don’t know how much they put in ads, so profit can be negative. 1 install costs between $2-$5. Maybe they are burning investors money. It’s never possible to judge just from sensortower numbers.
@wanted4mogging@Ledger Yeah, that’s a real problem with ledgers, have no idea what they are thinking about. Because of this it is better to buy nano, which has no battery.
@AstorEnt@awkawk912@aave@LlamaRisk its in "Your supplies" block in dashboard, in the line where usdc listed (not the one in the upper right screen corner where wallet address is)
@AstorEnt@aave@LlamaRisk Yeah, looks indeed like uniswap. There is “swap” button in aave dashboard near the usdc supply asset, next to “withdraw” button.
@AstorEnt@aave@LlamaRisk where are you checking the swap? You should check it directly on aave, the swap will be 1 to 1 for market price. You can also swap to DAI btw and withdraw, there is $3m in pool now:
@AstorEnt@aave@LlamaRisk Usdc never has been freezed, there was no liquidity in a pool. But you can exit aUSDC->aWBTC->withdraw - there is a lot of liquidity in wbtc pool
@wataphoque@blockchainchick Yeah, definitely you can do so, but that requires some time to spend. Interesting is that USDT keeps coming in, so someone is pouring it there...
@jescalan This is because after recent update OpenClaw requires explicit permission to run “exec” command somewhere in config. All tool calls are failing without it. Not gpt’s fault.
@TukiFromKL Within 1h of release it is impossible to say that new model indeed beats other models. We will see the reality in the following weeks. But we have the hope.
