@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 Another example here. He didn't contribute much outside the goals but clearly they're undervaluing here since their base is 6.5
Again, stop using other people's ratings and form your own opinions how is this a hard thing to understand
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 He scored 1, that's not almost the same amount loll
He also missed 4 big chances, lost the ball 20+ times, and had 0 defensive impact. His only impact outside the penalty goal was good creation which isn't enough to make up for the rest. It's a 7.0 game at best.
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 They don't tax losing the ball enough though. Creators/playmakers are always inflated as a result despite losing the ball 20-30 times a game.
As for the Ronaldo goal thing that's fair but there are several instances where they undervalue goals (e.g the wolfsburg example)
It does undervalue goals. Sofascore for example assigns a goal the same weight as a few dribbles or mid chance creation.
Rating apps also don't tax losing possession which is obvious bias towards players who function as creative outlets. Again, I implore you to watch game footage yourself instead of relying on other people's opinions.
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 Messi scored 1 goal, not 3. His playmaking was good, but not great, and his finishing was horrendous. In what world does this performance deserve a higher rating than 3 goals to overturn a 2-0 deficit ๐. You're literally just biased atp
Here's one:
Ronaldo: Clutch hat trick, little to no negatives and only an 8.3
vs
Messi: 4 bcm, penalty goal, great creation but mid otherwise. Somehow an 8.5.
These apps overvalue chance creation/dribbling and undervalue ball retention and so you get ratings like these as a result. If you want more examples just ask
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 Yeah and I said they're a trash metric cause the formulas all the main rating apps use suck to begin with, then have weird inflations/deflations on top of that. Much better to watch the games/comps yourself and rate them or at the very least stats
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 MOTM are based on ratings made by people using their own criteria. Again, it's not objective and there are a lot of instances where ratings are inflated/deflated relative to their formulas (which are usually trash to begin with)
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 Again, the MOTM you're using are based on what other people think. It's not an objective metric. Watch the games yourself and rate them yourself instead at least lol
I wouldn't, because that's retarded. Awards based off of what other people think will almost never be valid. I'm not biased.
The rest of your reply here is meaningless. For one, I wasn't even defending Ronaldo, and secondly Ronaldo (pre Saudi) did a lot more than ghost for 90min and score a tap-in majority of the time, and you know it.
The motm that you are using are either from rating apps (which is no more valid than a random person's opinion of a game) or the awards they give out at the end of a game (voted or based on opinion again). Tell me, how is this relevant in any way? It's no better than using the Dubai D'or as an indicator for the best season
@Short40469695@8slf8smh@_common_w2 MOTM based on rating apps/votes will never be a good metric it's no better than the dubai dor or any of those shitty awards.
Even spamming G/A slop is better.
@Short40469695@_common_w2 Obviously means that you're way behind the times
Motm from apps/voted awards has no relevance on its own. Idk why you're acting dense
