Since the start of this year, over 70 independent pharmacies have closed their doors here in PA — and now, 21 of our 67 counties have fewer than 10 pharmacies left.
Local pharmacies are being forced out of business because of pharmacy benefit managers, middlemen who manipulate and profit off of the pharmaceutical system.
We worked across the aisle and saw Democrats like @RepBenham and Republicans like @SenatorJWard come together to hold PBMs accountable, stand up for our local pharmacies like Hometown, and lower costs for Pennsylvanians who need their medication.
@AskPlayStation@AskPlayStation I have been trying to get in touch with you about a banned account issue. I have tried chat and dm’ing you to no response. How can someone get through to you? Please help
Very honored to have @RepFredKeller@WeisMarkets in Wellsboro. Thank you for a great visit talking about how we make help lower Medicare Part D out of pocket expenses to help our patients.
Our @WeisMarkets in-store pharmacy team in Wellsboro, PA was pleased to welcome @RepFredKeller to discuss the crucial role community pharmacies play in delivering high-quality health care in the communities we serve.
Fun experience:☝🏼send students shopping for what they eat (📸 :1 dietitian student & 3 pharmacy students). ✌🏼 review foods and learn WHY they selected it & learn higher level label reading. 🤟🏼 collaborate how you’d work with pts on a budget or who enjoy certain foods!
Had a productive conversation today with the National Association of Chain Drug Stores on ways pharmacies can help bring more transparency and lower prices to American patients at the pharmacy counter.
Great to see the pharmacists working with @SecAzar to lower drug prices by eliminating needless fees that take money out of the patient’s pocket. Let’s work together for the patient! https://t.co/aO01Tuix6n
