I think the simplest explanation for the Pelicans struggles the last 15 years is we won 2 lotteries and spent years building our rosters around 2 “generational” talents, who were both injury prone and lacked the drive to lead a team.

I actually like that Joe Dumars and co have an asking price and are sticking to it. They're not giving players away just to make a trade.

If Boston, Detroit, or anyone else wants to blow you away with 3 first-round picks plus more for Trey, then sure, you listen.
But if the offers don't meet your price, tell them to kick rocks. There's no reason to sell low just because other teams want your players.
