"Long story short, the world's in trouble, and has been for a while."

I love the open disdain. I genuinely do. It is beautiful to behold. It shows what Politics (with a capital ‘P’) makes possible.
One reads about it in books and so forth. “Let Them Eat Cake” et cetera. But to behold it too, my God!
I suspect he's negotiated a free ticket to a second term. As we all know, the US decides who Kenya's president will be. Kenyans vote to confirm it. The new US ambassador is here to oversee the process.
I suspected as much. And when you see the US controlling religious education, you better know that weeping is around the corner. The CIA plants fundamentalism in religion. That's how we got racist evangelicalism in Christianity.
Like I said in my interview with @theelephantinfo, we must take back control of the study of religion from imperialism. And I've been saying that those terrible misquotations of Karl Marx about the opium of the masses are a psyop.

Welcome to Kenya. We eat children here. We sell them as tourist attractions, we undereducate them, then we sell their future to wazungu shylocks, and when they protest we abduct and kill them. Now we're having them for breakfast.

I thought about it and applied for jobs. Didn't get far, clearly. This country is very indignifying to live in. Not only does it exploit you financially, but it constantly humiliates you. Personally, I think that's why Kenyans leave. It's not just the money. It's also the mundane life of work, go home, and no drama of being spat on every day. The constant new laws and regulations, dysfunction, disrespect, and after all that, knowing you have the skills to do some serious work for your country but that the system won't allow it. It takes a lot of spiritual and psychological work not to go insane in Kenya. Or not to do some cannibalistic shit like those perverts eating children, treating Kenya as if it is one big Ep* island.
They're making the elections about immigration again and none of that is going to improve your lives or decrease the cost of living. And everybody is discussing it like it's more important than the cost of the food you eat and the house you live in.
Young people who need education, work, opportunities, dreams, growth, but this is what the political class gives them. A ceiling of death and destruction. It's social sabotage by the political class. And it adds up to underdevelopment because basically, the politicians are telling us that there's a limit to what our youth are allowed to know or imagine. It's so, so, so sad.
And this is why I make so much noise about education and thinking in Kenya, and how the political class and our institutions suppress our imagination. Things like this stunt our political imagination, but #githerimedia blocks us from seeing it by cheating us that ideas don't matter to employers. If these are the employers they were referring to, of course they don't want young Kenyans to be knowledgeable!
This violence is the agenda the media promotes by telling us those lies. Because the opposite of knowledge isn't ignorance. It's violence. Yet KICD said our kids don't need knowledge.
It's just horrifying to watch this self-fulfilling prophecy happen in real time.
how do you erase Christianity's footprint where Jesus was lived? Not in a singular violent act, but in the slow but sure methodical ebbing away of monuments, relics, and roots—one church at a time, one monastery at a time, one Christian family or community at a time, for years and years; accelerate during hot wars while people are distracted.
