@wfaa So who will take up the calls for service on these tollways? Maybe they need to create funding to establish their own patrol fleet for tollways only.
James Handy, an 81-year-old actor, was stabbed to death at his LA home and found on the front lawn. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect is his girlfriend’s son, Michael Gledhill, who lived at the home with his mother. What a horrific story. He played in the movies Logan, Top Gun: Maverick, and Arachnophobia.
Police say the 44-year-old Michael called 911 and told them, “I am the son of man. I just killed the man of sin.” This guy has serious mental issues. This is the second celeb murder due to mental illness within the family. Mental illness is serious—if you suffer from it or know someone who does, seek help!

The NYT has an article about the USPS freeing up funds to help mail operations by suspending payments to a retirement fund, which gave officials more time to find a permanent solution.
Robert G. Taub, the vice chairman of the Postal Regulatory Commission, told lawmakers on the House panel overseeing the Postal Service that an April decision to allow the service to temporarily suspend some payments to a retirement fund “fundamentally alters the Postal Service’s pronouncements that it could be out of cash in less than a year.”
For now, they are still able to fund operations for a few years but not long term.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Douglas L. Micko of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota ruled on January 18, 2026, that a church is not protected property. Any religious property can have protesters enter, interrupt services, threaten attendees, and refuse to leave even when asked, as long as they are independent journalists.
St. Paul City Attorney Irene Kai announced she will not file state criminal charges against the protesters who disrupted the service at Cities Church. Prosecutors determined that current evidence is insufficient for criminal charges under Minnesota state statutes, despite laws on trespass, disorderly conduct, or similar offenses.
Federal prosecutors pursued charges under civil rights and religious freedom statutes, leading to indictments and arrests. The local St. Paul decision does not affect those.
Today, the city of St. Paul has proven that churchgoers will not be protected. Any church that opens its doors on Sunday must have safety measures in place, if it opens at all. Anyone who practices a religion should do the same. Video evidence shows clear intent to disrupt rather than participate, along with repeated requests to leave by lead pastor Jonathan Parnell. These decisions were purely political and it’s a shame, as they begin to unravel the freedom of religion that America holds dearly.

It’s growing too big and with that comes a ton of problems. Just look at NYC and Los Angeles. Last time I was there and drove up 75 it looked rough with tons of homeless camps and people walking the streets and standing at busy street corners begging for money. I literally seen tents camped out under the bridges on 75 as well. People are living under the highway! Scary times
More mass shootings across America in the last 24 hours. Tragedies like these are heartbreaking and spark understandable frustration. What more can be done to curb this madness? A safe storage promotion, better mental health integration, threat reporting systems, rigorous program evaluation, and increase funding for law enforcement agencies.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner has officially been rescheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026, in Washington, D.C. at the Waldorf Astoria.
President Trump has confirmed he will attend the rescheduled event and speak, describing it as a show of strength and resilience. He posted on Truth Social that he won’t let “lunatics” dictate the schedule.
@DallasTexasTV Wow, that is amazing! I hope the city can upgrade its infrastructure to support so many more people. Look for the cost-of-living to become much higher.
