"ESG investing" in its current form is similar to people who take selfies of themselves in fancy locations to show they were there, while barely experiencing it for real.
Mostly theater, little substance.
@TheRealDoctorT Also, don’t forget the course is only open 9-4 M-F with exceptions like holidays. If those hours don’t work for you (resident here) then better luck next time 🙈 not only is it very time consuming but can only be done during fairly inconvenient hours. It’s infuriating at times.
The more polarized people become, the more liberty loses. When you cram everyone into an opposing group and write them off wholesale, any chance of productive dialogue ceases. Hearts and minds cannot be changed. We all lose.
Nothing is worse for the environment than the centrally planned government constantly changing rules and causing massive capital misallocation and resource waste.
The ESG/Renewable eng mvmnt is a farce in that it’s a convenient argument against threats to their powr, hwever, notice how they also demonize something like nuclear power that can help achieve their clean eng goals but threatens their influence/power. That’s what it’s all about.
I think there's an argument to be made that the anti-nuclear power movement, has done more to contribute to climate change, by removing the most viable alternative to fossil fuels, than the coal, gas and oil lobby combined.

@DinaPomeranz No, inflationary fiat currencies are a real problem for climate change because they favor senseless consumerism and malinvestments as opposed to sound money (#Bitcoin) that rewards saving and responsibile consumption/investments.
The lessons of the past two years for me was the complete and utter destruction of institutional credibility and the politicization of truth itself, by the very institutions (media) tasked to uncover it. My sense of the world broke in a way that hasn't recovered (and won't).
@Deja_Great @GEMSREMI@CallahanPulm The point is to treat everyone the same, we don’t go around passing judgment on who contributed to their illness and how much of it is their fault, that’s not our job, our job is to help the sick. That’s it.
