Whether Uhuru is funding Sifuna or not, that narrative may not bear the intended fruits.

Some of his supporters may not take offence unless they already have a grudge against Uhuru.

If Uhuru was also an enemy to Sifuna's followers, then the sponsorship narrative might have worked.

But as things stand, many supporters may actually view Uhuru's support as a positive thing.

Anybody who wants Mt. Kenya divided is an enemy of Prof. Kindiki. Why lie to him that he can rely on votes that are fewer than those in Kiambu County? A divided Mt. Kenya only weakens his political bargaining power.

Riggy G has, in my view, managed to expose Kalonzo politically. For a long time, he seemed to be operating under Baba's shadow. Gachagua has challenged that image, portraying him as a weak candidate, overly cautious, financially constrained, and unreliable. If that perception sticks, Kalonzo may have to settle for the third or fourth slot. 😂

If any of them is given the presidential ticket, Mt. Kenya will automatically take the running mate slot. That would leave Kalonzo with nothing to do but grab some popcorn and watch the game unfold.

Even if Kindiki is dropped as Deputy President, I believe he will still support President Ruto. Likewise, if Kalonzo is not fronted as the United Opposition's presidential candidate, I don't see him crossing over to support President Ruto.
