Hi @sfmta_muni are you going to so something about how the restaurant Waterbar is using the bike lane on the Embarcadero as a valet staging area? Looks unsafe and illegal to me.
Not a good look for @onepeloton delivering product in vans rented in Oregon with no plates. This van transporting a stationary bike blocked our real life bike lane on 17th St from 3:47 PM to 4:37 PM.
Note: Bike lane is to keep riders off the wet slippery streetcar tracks.
@BradAT@DavidJacobsLive@anniefryman Maybe for expired meters they do, but very seldom for cars parked in bike lanes, effectively voiding the existence of bike lanes.
.@LondonBreed@VallieBrownD5 In less than 1 week we’ve had 2 cars careen off of Oak @ Baker and Fell @ baker into the @CA_DMV The same intersections where two seniors were killed walking in the last 2 years!! (David Grinberg was one). Reduce lanes & speed on these highways NOW!
Meanwhile, still waiting on the @sfmta_muni to implement any immediate safety fixes on 2nd at Bryant where a pedestrian was critically injured last month. What gives?? @EdReiskin@LondonBreed @CaseyHildreth @tweetsupa @MattHaneySF
During the two (2) hours the car was parked there we tried to get it cited but the folks at @sf311 were very very clear that the policy is, as it was before bike to work day 2019, no one responds to these complaints. That is City Policy. This driver was never cited.
.@BiRiteSF this is at your Divisadero location, where a driver who works for you or is delivering to you had parked *next* to an available space. And blocked the lane. No driver present. You’re generally a good neighbor so please don’t be doing this.
This is exactly what drivers see. They can see the sign but not the pedestrian because of the cars blocking the view. Those cars are as tall as we are or more so.
That's why we daylight areas like this.
This is where a 14 year old girl was killed this month.
This is a great start @sfvas@SFTrafficSafety@SFPD@sfbos. Please expand this program to bike lanes, which are routinely desecrated by drivers, everywhere, all the time.
Over 1200+ cites were written by SFPD motorcycle cops in March! We also have been doing 'PED STINGS' which means a cop in regular clothes tries to use the crosswalk, drivers that fail-to-yield get a cite by an Officer. @VisionZeroSF#sfpd
San Francisco could make so much money, and make the streets much safer, if we ticketed drivers who park in the bike lane. @sfbos@LondonBreed@SFTrafficSafety
Drivers will always find a way to block the bike lane... Guess they just want to be close to us 🥰 happy Valentine's (Valencia near Market) @sfbike@sfmta_muni@SFdirtyparking
