Fantastic day at Yate Library @Southgloslibs Saturday with @millyjohnson

An author’s dream audience in #YateLibrary yesterday. Packed to the gills with my characters-themed cakes in a Teashop on the Corner. Absolute high!!

At one of our library’s story time, a child who has been attending since a baby has just learnt to walk, when she walked across the library for the first time unaided the whole library applauded.

This is such a powerful experience and Sarah represents the thousands of front line library staff who over the last few months have worked so hard to support those for whom the library service is a lifeline.

Great feedback about our click and collect. What amazing staff , I called to collect my books, they were all ready and waiting, all I did was gave them the names of a few authors and they picked out books for me, I could not have done better myself https://t.co/gm2DsdksGE

[Martin Burton @ridgwood]

Thanks to all the staff @Southgloslibs for their hard work in getting the libraries ready for reopening

[South Glos Libraries @Southgloslibs]

Great to see people using our libraries again. We issued 4,500 books last week through our Click and Collect service and people were busy catching up on emails. All services must be booked in advance see
