“The entire wealth of the richest Americans, plus every dollar of corporate profit and maximum top income tax rates, still leaves the DSA agenda between $29 trillion and $169 trillion short.”
Read that sentence again
😂😂
Calling attention to self-described communists isn't a GOP "attack," in fact many sober liberals call this out all the time, too. The DSA calls themselves communists. They wave communist flags. They quote Marx. They're telling you who they are. Believe them
These are the billionaires who are actually oppressing us. The ones who sit in their mansions and write checks to communist NGOs and the DSA, who then use that money to destroy our public safety and quality of life.
This is the real enemy of the people.
To use a leftie term, I’m feeling especially triggered by the response to what happened to Kallie Keeler. All the anon accounts screeching that it's a normal part of wrestling, just an "oil check" (an illegal move by the way, that this was not), that she's too wimpy and weak to be a wrestler if she can't handle it.
Bullshit.
She was assaulted. A man stuck his fingers inside her vagina and held them there.
This incident echoes dark patterns that I have witnessed and even been caught in the midst of for decades.
Bad men will hide behind shields of respectability while abusing girls and women in plain sight.
As a former gymnast and whistleblower, I see the parallels to Larry Nassar immediately. Nassar hid behind the respectability of his medical degree and his role as USA Gymnastics team doctor. After he abused young female athletes for 30 years, finally women came forward in droves to report the assaults. Those victims were attacked for months until there were too many to ignore.
My coach hid behind his "coach" title, while claiming to keep athletes safe as a spotter, then molesting in plain view. Athletes were shamed into silence.
Predators will exploit any opening to find, abuse and assault their victims.
The look on her face is shocking and heart wrenching
Sexual and physical assault in the name of trans inclusion
And they didn’t even ask her consent to let this boy put his hands on her — they concealed his sex
This is #RapeCulture
This is not normal discourse.
We don’t have to accept this as an acceptable line of thinking. In fact, you should reject it with every fiber in your being.
These people hate normal Americans and the social norms that make our lives enjoyable and safe.
Not a lot of people understand this... but you actually don’t have to have an opinion about everything. You don’t have to decide if something is good or bad.
Situations don’t have to be wrong, unfair, essential, deserved, or outrageous. The weather can just be the weather. The political situation can just be that political situation.
Marcus Aurelius says limiting the amount of opinions we have is one of the most powerful things we can do in life.
To say: “I don’t have an opinion on that.”
To focus on the things in front of us that matter, or more importantly, that are in our control.
There is plenty there for us. Plenty to keep us busy, and not miserable.
Part 4 of the new Afterword for The Coddling is up at @JoinPersuasion. We know a lot more about the polarization spiral, who is driving it, and what it is doing to the far right, far left, and the country:
