At first glance, it looks gray, but through the lens on the right, its full palette appears: blue from titanium, orange from ancient rocks, and more iron on the far side.
This image was captured by Orion, the Artemis II spacecraft, during a mission that also broke the record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth.
And there’s something beautiful in that. The colors have always been there. We just needed the right way to see them.🌗🌖🌘🌓🌔
I’m not arguing with anyone over their opinions on fat man and little boy (Oppenheimer wasn’t even a pro-bomb film as is but pop off) but I’m just adding to the discourse that Japan committed some of the most atrocious war crimes in the history of the world that they have been radio silent about but it’s always America that needs to atone. Never any other country ever.
America has done and still does fucked up shit. I’ll never deny that. But the constant finger pointing from countries whose hands are muddy as fuck is frankly delusional at this point
