BREAKING NEWS:
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2021 #NobelPrize in Physics to Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann and Giorgio Parisi “for groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of complex physical systems.”
Today is arXiv’s 30th anniversary and we’d like to toast to our amazing community. Thank you all for creating a culture of #OpenScience and #OA! #arXiv30
We mourn @mit Institute Professor Emeritus Isadore Singer, who died Feb. 11. His seminal Atiyah-Singer Index Theorem and other achievements earned him the Bôcher Prize, Natl Medal of Science, @amermathsoc Steele Prize, and Abel Prize. @mathmoves@mitscience
We have an opening for a postdoctoral position at Purdue at the intersection of quantum gravity, quantum field theory and quantum information. If you know potential applicants please share it with them:

@DarkCosmologist@seanmcarroll Unfortunately, most texts on the second topic mostly focus on the historical aspects of things. More modern topics such as Zurek's derivation of the Born rule or QBism are often left out.
@DarkCosmologist@seanmcarroll I tend to split it into two topics: 1) Why quantum correlations are weird -Entanglement, Bell measurements, decoherence, and quantum information theory" there is plenty of great text on this. 2) All the interpretations people have come up with -Copenhagen, Many-worlds, etc
