@AtinaManvelian Absolutely! It’s heartening to see that SSIs don’t seem to differentially benefit privileged groups, at least for emotional distress outcomes in adolescents.
New preprint time! Reductions in adolescent internalizing symptoms as a result of participation in a single-session intervention were at least as large for a variety of marginalized groups as for privileged counterparts.

Thanks for sharing, Kasey :)
📢 HELP! FB/Insta won’t let us advertise our free, IRB-approved, grant-funded single-session mental health support website, built for & with LGBTQ+ teens. Our ads were tagged as ‘abusive.’ Working on a fix, but until then: Please RT to help us reach 1000's of LGBTQ+ teens anyway.
Just joined the academic twitter crew! I was thrilled to give a talk and present my poster at #apschi22 about the impact of #COVID19 related negative outcomes on mental health among people w/ substance use disorders. Thank you @PsychScience for this amazing opportunity!
Thanks to PCSAS for providing a platform to discuss the potential of brief interventions. Integrating SSIs into training clinics can help clients, clinicians, and clinics alike!
With mental health care need at an all-time high, single-session interventions can connect individuals with immediate support while providing trainees with diverse experience. Learn more in this article by @rileymcdanal of @stonybrooku. https://t.co/3VlDUxVoSI
