Late-discovered #ActuallyAutistic folks aren’t pretending to be autistic all of a sudden—
We’ve pretended to be the world’s version of “normal” our whole lives.
We’ve finally stopped pretending, and guess what?
This *is* our normal!
It's fascinating how bad COVID denialists are at math.
"99.7% survival rate!!" is 1 million dead Americans (assuming everyone gets it only once).
That's more COVID deaths in a few years than all American combat deaths in every war since 1775 combined. It has already happened.
Happily saying to a chronic illness patient who has not been formally diagnosed with anything but is feeling terrible, "Great news, all your tests came out looking normal," is smug and condescending, and you know exactly what you're doing when you do so.
Stop making the faulty assumption that if fat people experience a health issue more than thin people, fat bodies are to blame. Fat people experience stigma, weight cycling, and weight stigma at every level of their healthcare and all of these things negatively impact our health.
TO THOSE WHO STILL WANT TO AVOID COVID:
We’re in a one-way masking world now. Therefore, it’s time to upgrade your respirators. Cloth and surgical masks (and even some KN95s and N95) simply won’t suffice.
Here’s a 🧵 on some of the best masks you can get:
Here at the Foundation, we believe AIs CAN produce meaningful art. That's because otherwise, the art-eating god in the chamber under Site-74 would reject the AICs' paintings and containment would get really fucking expensive.
Today I heard from a parent that their son was terribly upset when he got covid, because it would ruin his 100% attendance record. At the end of the year, those with 100% get book tokens & certificates in assembly. Here’s why policies like that should stop. 1/
I just saw someone say “as you get older, it’s harder to make friends”
And I just want to make sure it’s clear that the problem is capitalism taking all our time and energy and not just due to being older like it’s natural causes
Hi. I've been worried about you overheating so here I am with bossy bossy tips.
Blackout your windows. All of them. If you got aluminum foil put it shiny side out and then something like cardboard behind that and then a blanket or towels over that. You want it DARK in your place
And that's our august article!
the secret ingredient to telling a good story (how to tell a story from beginning to end for any writer who's unsure of themselves and wants to get going, but also, in a way, for linear level designers) https://t.co/kGaDXnCBds
