hasan is 100% correct here. liberation movements came to life because they were fully fighting AGAINST the occupying powers. ppl died for movements like these. ppl risked their lives on the streets of so many cities. we can’t call that “terrorism” and “violence”
During his interview with MSNOW's Symone Sanders-Townsend and Eugene Daniels, Hasan Piker talks about Hamas, the Palestinian resistance as a whole and the issue with the concept of a 'perfect victim.' He compares it with other liberation movements throughout history: "And that is the issue at the heart of the matter; people want perfect victims. Whether they be Black people engaging in the Civil Rights' struggle, historically, whether it be the forces against apartheid in South Africa, whether it be the liberation struggle in Algeria. The expectation from the white moderate or the expectation from people who enjoy the order that exists in civilized society, is that people are not supposed to fight back and try to even match the intensity or the violence of the occupation, the colonial entity or the forces of police brutality that are defending white supremacy. So, that's the reason why I make this distinction. I want people to start thinking; what would they do in that situation? What would they do if they lived in the world's largest open air prison that's hermetically sealed, that is a nuclear armed state, that is backed by the most powerful entity on the planet?"
this dickhead has nothing to say about ilhan omar being falsely persecuted by the fascist state but chirps about this? what the hell is wrong with you man!?
“Palestinian children are taught at UNRWA schools that Jews should be killed. They attend summer camps that teach young kids how to be terrorists.” - MN SD46 Senator Ron Latz
Yesterday in Lewiston: @TheMaineWire Reporter @MaineWireJon watched Somali “translators” help several elderly Somalis vote.
Notably, all the “translators” work for taxpayer-funded NGOs and Medicaid agencies.
This is how you turn a working class town into a Dem stronghold.
Hey bitch baby, did you forget to condemn Republicans for targeting Rep. Omar before leaping at the opportunity to attack Rep. Omar? Or are you just a worthless asshole?
As Democrats, we are right to speak out when Republicans spread hateful rhetoric. We have the same responsibility when it comes from our own side.
Hasan Piker’s record of hateful rhetoric is clear. Senator Omar Fateh and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar should not lend him their platform.
My full statement:
I think the guy flipping burgers at McDonald’s should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That’s kind of the whole point of having a job and I can’t believe this is considered a radical position for me to take.
I met a Minnesotan who paid $18,000 out of pocket for dental surgery because Medicare just doesn't cover it.
Your eyes and teeth are part of your body. It's time to expand Medicare to cover vision and dental - then get to work passing Medicare for All.
As Democrats, we constantly criticize the far-right for their incendiary and discriminatory politics, but we need to hold ourselves to the same standard. Hasan Piker’s rhetoric is polarizing and dangerous, and embracing him as a party is a mistake. I am disappointed that Minnesota DFLers are hosting an event with him here.
@AngieCraigMN girl u LOST AND u receive money from AIPAC….ALSO you voted for the ppl in minnesota to be murdered in the streets by masked men…focus on ur failed political career
guy who admitted to lying about haitian's eating cats and dogs, who told angie nixon to leave the country -claims i don't care about black liberation, and that he does. we live in hell
