Colour flagged Redshank back for its fourth summer on the Coquet Estuary. (Initially ringed on the Humber). Also still 11 Knot and 9 Bar-wit that seem to be staying for the summer and today a Whimbrel, perhaps the first one back? @NTBirdClub@rings_ne
Kittiwake chicks on the Gateshead Saltmeadows tower. Adult “ANR” also has a Geolocator that we hope to retrieve so we can learn more about where Tyne Kittiwakes winter. Grateful to Gateshead Council for help and @NENature_ Dickinson Memorial fund for grant assistance.
When we started our colour-marking study of the UK's naturalised Barnacle Goose population, we didn't think they would roam as much as they have! Watch till the end...
