I can see why people would be confused and assume he got his memories back rather than him regaining his confidence and resolve

@Infamousmask64 Shin is a great film. Godzilla feels so ominous the whole way through especially with how it barely emotes until it gets attacked. And the atomic breath scene is the best in the franchise

Tappei didn't write his cross-dressing habits as a one off line to eventually infiltrate the empire, he wrote this as a central part of Subaru's character. It's part of the reason he was a shut-in and how he copes with his confidence
