Well, wonder no more because we have just the event for you.

The City of Highland Park, a Chicago suburb, along the posh North Shore, is hosting an event where you can "simulate" poverty.

Rather than immerse themselves in ACTUAL poverty, they'll be offered the opportunity to role play from the safety of their wealthy suburb.

This, in a city where nearly 85% of the population is White, the median household income is over $147,000 and the median property value is well over $500,000.

Apparently, the "poor experience" is a homogenous one and something that can be experienced the way a museum exhibit can be experienced.

This is merely a novelty and something to do for these people. Merely something they can say they did because they are "good people" and really, really care about the "poor." It's a continued virtue signal and meaningless, superficial act meant to make themselves feel good more than anything else.
