@notwithhaste__ no seriously trying to watch them dining at the ritz at the end of season one is just like wow this is so beautiful i love them Too Bad About The Impending Disintegration
@mariinafell i’m pretty sure that rachel talalay said that the new world is actually our world! like for example whickber street became its irl counterpart of berwick street :)
The entire point of his character is that he was made to do as God instructed, to guide humanity, and then to ultimately participate in ending it, smiting people like he did rebel angels. And then he chose NOT to do that, instead loving humanity. That arc IS his character.
does anyone else have to stop themself making ‘i smiled so sadly’ references irl.. like i forget that it isn’t part of the lexicon outside of a very specific subset of twitter
"I only want one thing, and that's not what this is about anymore" aziraphale already had full knowledge of what crowley was going to choose. he trusted him to make the right choice that he could not bring himself to make on his own again. 1/7
Pray we never get official confirmation there was supposed to be 1941 pt. 3 because I’m not going to be responsible for my (probably very violent) actions
I’ve seen many people saying that having Asa and Anthony on “the wrong side” is a lack of care on production or that they simply forgot- but it definitely speaks to the fact that there is no “wrong or right side anymore”. So if you didn’t know: +
For as long as we’ve known each other, @MJJoyceCrowley and I agreed this ending was our favorite. Maybe not the popular one, but one we deeply loved. Now that it’s here, we’d love to share why. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as we loved writing it!

@BerylStapleton@meiziell well no of course, i mean that my sadness has no intrinsic value to the quality of the ending. a good or bad ending can prompt any emotional response :)
@meiziell also i think for me there’s a difference between loving it and enjoying it. i wouldn’t say i enjoy it (i’m lowk in agony over it lmao) BUT i love the theology and the love saves all aspect
@meiziell trust me i love the ending but i very much do.. a lot of my issues with it stem from how 90 minutes could never do an ending of that scale justice or give it proper explanation though. i have to keep reminding myself that it making me sad doesn’t mean it was a bad ending.
