So how did I get into XRP, you ask?
In 2024, my Catholic Irish mother, who knows absolutely nothing about crypto, randomly called me and said, “How do I buy XRP?”
I said, “Mom, what the heel are you talking about? What is XRP?”
She replied, “I think it’s a crypto. I had a dream, and in the dream I was told to buy $400 worth of XRP.” 🤯
Now, when a 75 year old Irish woman calls and says she had a dream about buying a crypto that neither of us had ever even heard of, and tells me to buy $400 worth, that definitely gets my attention. Especially because she has had several dreams come true in the past, way too many for me to ignore. So when she said she needed to buy XRP, my ears perked up immediately.
At the time, I already had some money in crypto, but nothing in XRP. Most of my portfolio was in my 401k and tech stocks, with a heavy position in Tesla. Needless to say, I helped her buy that first $400 worth of XRP, and not long after, I started buying myself.
Since then, I have spent a lot of time learning about Ripple, XRP, and the role they could play in the future of finance. Ripple has helped position XRP as a rare utility in the crypto space, and the idea that X Money could potentially play a role in all of this makes it even more exciting to me. On top of that, I have a lot of trust in the Ripple team. There is simply too much talent, vision, and serious backing, including investors like Andreessen Horowitz, for me to ignore it.
So then the real question becomes: why only $400 if it is supposedly only going to $10?
If I am strictly playing along with the logic of the dream, the only reason $400 would really matter is if XRP were to go to $1,000 or even $10,000 per coin. I know those numbers sound absolutely crazy, and I fully understand the market cap arguments, which is exactly why those price targets are hard for me to wrap my head around. So where do I put my trust? In market data? Or in my Catholic Irish mother, who has not been wrong before and who seems to have God by her side.
So here we are, excited, learning, continuing to load up, thanking God every day for the opportunity, and hoping that the things I share might inspire others to take a closer look for themselves.
This is not hype to me. This is real world potential and, in my opinion, a once in a lifetime opportunity.
It is time to lock in, load up, and buckle up. This rocket may be getting ready to launch.
thank you @bgarlinghouse@JoelKatz for all that you do! God bless both of you!
