The CIC ordered access to DGCA’s FDTL files.

I have now inspected those records.

What they reveal is disturbing: pilot fatigue was not merely a safety issue being regulated — it appears to have become a space where airlines managed the process to protect operational convenience.

The public was told fatigue rules were data-driven.

The files raise a harder question:

Were India’s pilots protected from fatigue — or was fatigue managed to protect airline schedules?
