How I got approved for the Original Content Rewards program in just 7 days

From September 8th, I started posting only original content.

Mainly:
• Images clicked with my own camera
• Text based original tweets

I continued this consistently for 7 days before applying.

When selecting 10 posts for the application, I avoided selecting random videos.

If you’re selecting video posts, I’d recommend choosing videos you actually shot yourself rather than downloaded/reposted clips.

Celebrity content is okay, but I avoided making the caption just one line.

For celebrity picture posts, I tried to add at least 3–4 lines of my own thoughts/context instead of simply posting the image with a short caption.

Before applying, I’d also recommend checking your older posts.

If you have posts with sensitive content labels or posts that clearly go against X’s Community Guidelines, consider cleaning up your profile before applying.

For my 10 selected posts:
• 2 were text-based original tweets
• 8 were celebrity-picture posts with my own captions/context

And somehow… it got approved! 😭

That’s everything I did.

I’m not saying this guarantees approval I’m just sharing my experience because this is what worked for me.

**Things that matter when you work in IT — beyond technical skills:**

1. **Mail more. Document everything.**
Important discussions, decisions, requirements and commitments should have a written trail. Documentation protects you and keeps everyone aligned.

2. **Avoid unnecessary client phone conversations.**
Use calls when they genuinely help resolve an issue, but summarize important discussions through email or written communication afterward.

3. **Never personally criticize a client in front of colleagues.**
Discuss the issue, not the person. Professionalism matters, especially when working with difficult stakeholders.

4. **Respect your working hours.**
Be committed during work hours, but don't make staying late your default identity. If the work is completed, leave on time whenever possible.

5. **Learn AI tools relevant to your sector.**
AI is becoming part of everyday IT work. Learn how it can improve your analysis, documentation, reporting, troubleshooting and productivity.

6. **Build a second income stream.**
Even a small additional revenue source can teach you business, sales, discipline and financial independence. Start small and build consistently.

**Your career is not built only by what you know.
It is also built by how you communicate, document, behave and manage your time.**
