#RiseTogetherLA is dedicated to engaging, educating, & inspiring voters across #LosAngeles to get involved & build a city that lives up to its promise for all #Angelenos. We believe that change is possible if we stand up & make our voices heard. Join us: https://t.co/bICuGRobQi
LA will always be a town known for its bright lights and magic. Lakers fans always stand for our city. That’s why I’m happy to announce the Los Angeles Mission is partnering with @MagicJohnson to feed LAs homeless in Skid Row this Thanksgiving.
Our Executive Director @_jonathanstein just finished delivering remarks to the @LACCRC2021 expressing our support for a fully independent redistricting commission in the City of Los Angeles. (1/5)
I too am tired of the “under 40" lists. Show me an individual who changed their community at 60 after being homeless. Let’s hear from the 70 year old that lost it all and came back five times stronger.
We were a part of a unique & inspiring get together w/ @Boxofbeats91 & @ArmsAkimboBand! It's wonderful to see there are artists out there who are passionate about saving #LA!
@joinWithOthers really made this experience pop. Gain some insight about how we can save #LA

(3/3) We’ll always be grateful for the time we spent with him before he left us.
We are thinking of everyone who is part of his life & stand with them in mourning.
God bless you, General Jeff. You will always be a pillar in this community because you truly helped #LosAngeles.
We had the honor of sitting down and speaking with #GeneralJeff on July 28th, 2021. His leadership, vision, & activism for people experiencing homelessesss are well known.
@GoSkidRowGo was a uniquely inspiring individual. (1/3)
(2/3) His passion & fearlessness in serving as an activist for his community are a testament to the possibility of LA & our future.
General Jeff’s wisdom & leadership will continue to drive the movement to bring change for homeless communities & neighborhoods across our city.
Access to clean clothes is a daily struggle for many people experiencing homelessness. Our mobile clothing closet is a FREE service for those in need.
In addition to clothes & shoes we provide hygiene kits & cold drinking water. Link in our bio for our full service schedule.
that every dollar goes to help them. Existing systems contribute to the #HomelessIndustrialComplex & keep people perpetually on the streets in a cyclical pattern. Our #FunctionalZero plan for #LA is in our bio. Together, we CAN alleviate the #homelessness crisis in #LosAngeles.
The narrative that unhoused people want to be on the streets is tired, exhausted, & not evidence based. The reality is that we’ve failed to provide real help & the unhoused naturally don’t trust the offer. We have to build credibility to show those who need it most… (1/2)

Calling #Angelenos! LA CAN be a city that cares for ALL of its constituents in an equitable way. We’re out here listening to groups like @UPAS_org because they do exactly that.

Local leaders in #LA play this $ game with people’s lives yr after yr. It’s why problems get worse even though measures are passed to “solve” the crises LA faces.
#LosAngeles CAN be a city that leads by example, cares for its constituents & holds our local electeds accountable.
“We rise by uplifting others.” Claudia Iglesias, a parent with @UPAS_org says it perfectly.
City leaders are not improving our lives & those trying to get back on their feet, despite throwing hoards of $$ at problems. LA CAN be a city that provides meaningful support to Angelenos
L.A.'s @HomeboyInd is legendary for its gang intervention and rehab services including a bakery. Now there's a new aim: an attempt to build a $15 million housing complex for clients at risk of becoming #homeless. I've got the first look for @LAmag

We’re a city of 4M people, but only 300,000 voted for mayor.
In 2022, because of a date change, more will vote than ever before. It gives #LA the opportunity to elect people who represent every day #Angelenos, instead of letting career politicians slither back into their seats.

Gun violence is up more than 60%, including shocking gun violence in recent weeks in #CD5.
Time and time again, elected leaders have been presented with heavily-studied plans they can implement to prevent so many of these tragedies from occurring.
