❌ Pak-based propaganda accounts are circulating a digitally manipulated video of former COAS General Upendra Dwivedi, falsely claiming that he said: “We are being made scapegoat for something that we never participated in… exonerating the political decision making, which we followed. For this I am resigning in protest and handing over the command to General Dhiraj Seth”. The video also pushes fabricated claims about hiding casualties in Operation Sindoor due to political pressure.

✅ Fact: The video has been digitally manipulated to insert a fake narrative. In the original video, former Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi made no such statement. The change of the Chief of the Army Staff was carried out in accordance with the established tenure norms and laid-down procedures upon his superannuation after more than four decades of service. It was a routine transition and not the result of any resignation or political pressure.
