@RailMinIndia why the vandebharat 20646 from Madgaon to Mangalore consistently late for 3 days ?
It stopped at Karwar Station for 18 minutes against the dedicated 2 minute stop ?
It was late yesterday and day before as well.
@RailwaySeva@KonkanRailway Thank you @RailMinIndia for the response, we have a bus to catch from mangalore to Bangalore and if it keeps getting late then we would miss that bus to Bangalore.
Historic and exemplary!

Our unit at SJH treated the Nirbhaya case & the findings shocked us all. Got a chance to read the post mortem findings of the Kolkata medico & it just brought back those memories.
This medico who suffered so much deserves justice & all of us should stand united in the cause.
You wake up and start reading research paper and then you read that the technique you built for a product feature has been published as a paper (independently) and now you feel sad because you wanted to do that as well.
And it’s only 6 in the morning 🥹🥹
Today marks the 39th anniversary of one of the worst acts of terrorism in history.
Pay my homage to the memory of the 329 victims of AI 182 ‘Kanishka’ who were killed this day in 1985. My thoughts are with their families.
The anniversary is a reminder why terrorism should never be tolerated.
One of the misconceptions in history is that India is an easy place to conquer. Let me present you the map of the 4 of largest empires of their time at their highest -- Umayyad Caliphate, Alexander's empire, Genghis Khan's empire, Darius empire. You can find them all curiously ending in present day borders of India.
In each of these periods, India was either the #1 or #2 economy in the world by GDP. Especially the border states such as Punjab and Gujarat were fairly rich. There was no major ocean or impassable mountain. So, what stopped each of these empires from getting into India?
On the other side of Sindhu stood people who seriously cared about their culture, religion and beliefs. Genghis Khan and Alexander had such a hard time fighting in India's borders that they gave up and move to easier fish. When it comes to direct fighting it very hard to win the Indians as the Japanese found in the battle of Kohima that turned the WW2.
The empires that eventually got to India -- Mughal and British -- had to do it gradually with local faces and make a lot of accommodations with the locals that their peers (Arab, Spanish empires) didn't have to do. They had very less scope for pushing their religion in. And when people thought that these empires were encroaching in their beliefs, these were cast away.
Aurangzeb's pushing of religion sparked revolts across India (Sikh, Gurkha, Maratha..) and ended the Mughal empire at his death in 1707. East India Company using the wrong type of grease in their cartridges offended the religious beliefs and ended the life of the world's largest company of all time.
This fight back is one thing we don't teach kids in history education. Rather than a common narrative, this is fragmented. Chanakya was furious that a foreigner could even reach the borders of India and helped build one of the history's greatest empires.
Vijayanagara empire was among the earliest empires in the world to bring in gunpowder, and they helped restore the damaged temples across the south, including the famed Meenakshi Amman Temple of Madurai. You can see their impact across Tamil Nadu's great temples. Hemuchandra Vikramaditya nearly ended the Mughal rule in the 1550s when a stray arrow accidentally hit him.
People often ask what unites India. One of the things that unites us is our sheer ability to fight back. Thus, some of the most decorated groups in the World Wars were Indic groups -- Sikhs, Gorkhas and Nagas. Ancient India had 100s of these warrior groups.
If these fascinating stories of underdogs fighting back and winning are told properly, Indian students would seriously love reading their history rather than sleeping through the class.
