@fmanjoo The interesting thing to me is the ex-mayor’s protestations regarding his wife being let go from her job as a result of the controversy apparently. He probably doesn’t really appreciate the irony of not accepting survival of the fittest bullshit when it impacts his family.
@NRO@McCormackJohn Oh great point! Just don’t forget to add 1/Trump lost the pop vote in 2016 by almost 3 million votes (or 2.1%) and 2/ He lost by about 7million votes (or 4.4%). Fixed now.
@JamesADamore Um, did you happen to read this portion of the article? Survey participants who actually can’t define the main issue discussed don’t necessarily have so much validity? Thoughts?

@BresPolitico If she’s a good cross examiner she is piecing together evidence that she will either put to Kavanaugh or link to evidence she already has.
@CallumVPersonal @antiantioedipe@CHSommers Well if you equate being unemployed with actually being in a real live penal institution then I guess I have no response. I suppose one would ask would you rather be out looking for a job or sitting in a cell for a few years?
@LeahLitman Why? Can you particularize where in his past representation of related clients he has not properly served their interests? If not then why should she switch?
@RightReason_NZ@antiantioedipe@CHSommers As I understand it there is an opportunity to obtain either corroboration or the lack thereof. And the solution would be for a full FBI investigation. As an aside , I’m appreciating the civility of the exchanges.
@antiantioedipe@CHSommers The criminal just sys is premised on “10 guilty ppl should go free before 1 innoc person is found guilty”. So proof beyond a Reasonable doubt. Kavenaugj hearing is a job interview with enormous consequences for the country. It’s not same as going to prison for somethg he didnt do
@RadioFreeTom No one’s character is spotless at that age. But, if true, what he’s accused of crosses a very big line that goes far beyond “youthful hijinks.” Further, this isn’t just a typical job he’s applying for. It’s the Supreme Court. And yes, the same logic applies to Bill Clinton.
@AriMelber As an aside, note the date at the bottom of the Cohen sentencing memo from the DOJ. That is, the computer footnote. It read “Rev 04.24.2018”. Conceivably, the deal was in the works since April 24 of this year. Just shortly after the search and seizure of Cohen’s office.
@RadioFreeTom I completely disagreed with your George Harrison analysis yesterday . You’re bang on about Maddow though. I’m relatively MSNBC driven in many ways but her show is the only one I completely avoid. I can only describe her tone as constantly breathless.
