As a beautiful BLACK WOMAN, I don't resist the racism/ignorance of whites, I WAIT FOR THEM TO PEACEFULLY CHOKE ON IT, & throughout history, they always have💋
I work from the butterfly effect. I may be the only person to say this. America was 1st a slave state then an apartheid state. Black peoples who live here, we don’t fuck with this white trash country, & we will stand by whomever will burn white patriarchy down.
Thank you, Secretary Kennedy, for releasing the $700 million in behavioral health funding my father’s administration authorized.
But it should not have taken this long. The delay cost lives.
Putting people living on the streets first is right. They are the easiest to see and the easiest to ignore.
I have no problem with the mission.
I have a problem with one sentence in the guidance: STREETS grants cannot pay for harm reduction.
Harm reduction is not an ideology. It is a clean syringe, naloxone in a backpack, fentanyl test strips in a pocket. A place where someone can be kept breathing instead of being found dead.
I personally know people whose lives were saved by harm reduction. I know you do too. I know what they have done with those lives since. Not one of them would be in recovery today if they didn’t have access to harm reduction. The would be dead.
Anyone serious about recovery knows harm reduction saves lives. Ask people in the rooms. Ask the families keeping naloxone in the kitchen drawer.
If you want the Great American Recovery to mean something, fund what keeps people on this side of the grave. We do recover, but only if we make it out alive.
You really have to admire Antifa’s artistic skill.
With nothing but box cutters, they somehow managed to perfectly recreate the intricate look of poorly applied paint peeling off concrete that had concentrated peroxide dumped all over it.
Incredible craftsmanship.
For criticizing him, Trump opened an investigation into me for “treason.”
I’m not scared by that feckless thug. I’ve decided to call out his corruption louder than ever.
See you at the movies, Mr. President. No need to buy a ticket. We’re making this free for everyone.
The family of Tony Brown, the trailblazing black journalist died last week at 93. His "Tony Brown's Journal" was the longest running series in the history of PBS. He was the founding dean of Howard's communication school and later inaugural dean Hampton's journalism school.
In the tradition of the black press, he rejected the activist/journalist distinction. Just one example: In 1963, he helped coordinate a 500,000 person march in Detroit where it is believed Martin Luther King first gave a version of the I Have A Dream speech.
You can call this cretin a racist or a bigot or or a rancid piece of shit or anything you can possibly think of and she does not care because she is dead inside.
Just to be clear, wanting my tax dollars to be used to fund healthcare, infrastructure and affordable housing for all rather than into the pockets of the top 1% does not mean I am a socialist or communist.
@Acyn This bitch hasn’t been punched in the face by a Black person, yet. So he vomits on the mic like who gon’ check me boo? Thing is, he’s wimpier than a baby white boy, so he never brings his shithole mouth outside alone bc he knows we’d whip his shit smelling ass.
McGowan: Trump’s saying you're going to live in squalor with no food and no housing and no law and order. We have that for many people right now. That's why people are voting for democratic socialists, because they want government to look out for them again.
@Acyn@meiselasb "Republicans are so corrupt that if we lose power, we will be investigated and charged with crimes. So please keep us in power to continue our corruption."
A strange pitch to win over voters.
😩 JESUS CHRIST!!! Cops give a brutal beating on the bridge between Ohio and Kentucky to young people who were protesting against Trump's policies and against the Genocide in Gaza.
Spread this far & wide!!!
MAN IN VIRAL SHAKOPEE CONFRONTATION LOSES JOB AFTER BACKLASH
Brian Wagner, the man seen in the viral video confronting a Somali family who were house hunting in a Shakopee neighborhood, is no longer employed by Cardinal Glass Industries.
The video drew national attention after Wagner told the family, “Nobody wants you here,” questioned how they could afford a home, accused them of stealing, and made other derogatory remarks. A woman identified as his wife also joined the confrontation, making similar accusations.
As the video spread online, Cardinal Glass Industries reviewed the incident and announced that the individual seen in the video is no longer an employee, calling the behavior “contrary to the values of our company.”
Wagner’s attorney has argued the viral video does not capture the entire encounter and says both sides exchanged insults. However, the comments captured in the widely shared footage sparked widespread condemnation and renewed conversations about racism and discrimination in Minnesota.
@JoyceCarolOates John Steinbeck, upon seeing the ‘media stars’ of their day during desegregation in “Travels with Charley”. Every day these young white women stood in front of the schools screaming the most ”bestial and filthy and degenerate” words at little black girls trying to go to school.
