KAEPERNICK: The part that I hope people take away in this moment is what Robert Kraft and what they’re saying by denying Macklemore the opportunity to perform with Ed Sheeran is they are willing to collude. They are openly colluding.
When we filed the grievance, it was like, well, the owners wouldn’t do that. Everybody just wants to win within the NFL. And the realization is, no. They want to protect their interests. They want to protect their power. They want to protect their money. And they also want people to know that if you take an action that they don’t agree with, they will come for you. And that was some of the warning coming out of the protest and some of the warning coming out of the grievance, is that they will organize against you. Which means that we collectively have to organize to be able to protect our interests as well.
Give Like Dolly Day is coming September 25!
Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit through Give Like Dolly Day.
On September 25, we’re inviting communities all over the world to join us in giving back to children by supporting your local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. Your support helps make it possible for the children in your community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.

On September 28, 2000, a year BEFORE 9/11 happened, my uncle tackled a hijacker on a plane and held him down for 9 hours from Bahrain to New Jersey. This happened on Northwest Airlines flight 1051. I always thought this story should have gotten more attention
I’d like to honor my Uncle, John Whitney, an American hero and remember all of those we lost on 9/11/2001 🇺🇸
@cthagod if you feel so strongly about the word not being used by anyone, why didn’t Fat Joe get Donkey Of The Day?
His usage of it is why we’re here in the first place. So how are actual Black people getting DOTD? 🤔

A Labor Day reminder: having a job is no longer enough to protect millions of Americans from homelessness.
For many workers, the greatest threat isn't job loss. It's work that will never pay enough, never provide enough hours, never offer enough stability to keep them housed.
Well them going to prison isn’t viewed as a joke so there’s that. A lot of comedies are about people getting out of messed up situations.
Them being locked up and all the unfair roadblocks they run into are supposed to make you upset. Make you uncomfortable. Make you think. The movie is full of laughs but also tragedies.
One inmate had a baby with the wardens daughter but can’t claim the child or they’ll kill him. He loves the wardens daughter and she loves him, but their family can’t happen.
Another inmate purposely gets himself killed because he doesn’t think his family back home will love him when they find out his sexual orientation.
Eddie and Martin are examples of not losing spirit against insurmountable odds.
I say that to say it doesn’t make light of prison or the era in which it takes place. A reminder of how things used to be and that it was not that long ago. Still happens. Most of the time without a happy ending. It is a deep movie disguised as a comedy.
Sometimes that’s the best way to get important messages across
“A spoon full of sugar, helps the medicine go down.”
Can you dig it?
