I’m about to drop my first rock sample collection on the surface of Mars. I’m setting down the scientifically compelling, curated set of rocks at “Three Forks,” a spot just at the base of the river delta I’ve been exploring. #SamplingMars

Felt that one! When a giant meteoroid struck Mars, the seismometer aboard our @NASAInSight lander sensed it – and our Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has the visual evidence. See more about how the robotic explorers teamed up to capture the moment: https://t.co/mC5tAGHysw
Thank you to all of our new and returning SPEX members who were able to make it this Saturday!! Looking forward to a great semester! 🚀 🔭 🌔 #RITspex#SPEX#SpaceExploration
Meet Thomas Hall, Class of 2021! Thomas primarily worked on HAB, & Rovers while also holding multiple SPEX leadership roles throughout his time in SPEX. Today Thomas works at Kythera Space in Dynamic Management Systems for next-generation satellite payloads and SATCOM networks!
Looking for something to do this summer? Head outside one night for some astronomy! SPEX Astrodynamics member Drew Demers shared some great events to see with us- Thanks Drew! 🔭
SPEX ALUMNI! Meet Philip Linden, class of 2017. Philip graduated with a BS / Masters of Engineering with an Aerospace focus. Today Philip is a Space Systems Engineer at Planet, where he is responsible for mission operations of the SkySat constellation. Go Philip! @PhilipJLinden
After a whirlwind of training the past several months, we made it to the @Space_Station. Many more updates to come, but for now I’m just enjoying the view from on top of the world.

Even after teaching this for more than a decade, I still find new ways of presenting information to my students. Today's invention was using strips of craft foam taped to my inflatable globe to show the 3D path of air as it circulates through the atmosphere.
