Take care everyone, look after yourselves and each other, and most importantly, keep visiting your local independent museums, art galleries, music venues, and businesses, so that they remain open for future generations to enjoy.
Over and out.

@river_rowing I’m sad I am all the way here in Australia and can’t get to see the museum again. I have been there on 3 occasions when visiting Henley. Thank you. I’m sorry and sad that this wonderful museum will no longer be.

From our collection, a black & white photograph taken at Wargrave & Shiplake Regatta of 'tilting' in canoes, where competitors fight with mops standing in canoes. Thought to be 1932.
Does this activity still take place at the Regatta?!

This view 🙌🏼
Our Comminity Gallery connects the River Gallery to the Henley Gallery, with the added bonus of a glorious view of Mill Meadows and the church and bridge in the distance.

This 'News from the River and Rowing Museum', dated November 1995, some three years ahead of our opening, is possibly one of the earliest updates we have.
What are your memories of those very early days?
