Esta semana podría votarse en el Senado la ley Mordaza 2.0 que sanciona con cárcel a quienes divulguen antecedentes de una investigación penal, incluyendo a periodistas. Los mayores casos de corrupción en Chile se han conocido por reportajes.
El Congreso debe ser capaz de alcanzar el complejo equilibrio para garantizar que el periodismo pueda seguir fiscalizando al poder. De lo contrario, se pavimentará una zona de confort para la corrupción institucional.
