@stackerco Not sure how you came to this conclusion. It seems to me to be just the opposite. Please explain. Also, a number percentage would be more persuasive than "most." Using "most" almost makes it sound like you're generalizing. I need some data to buy what you're selling.
@OchoZaco Joseph translated the Book of Mormon, produced the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price, and founded a global religion that continues to grow nearly two hundred years on. All of this accomplished in a 2 year span from 1829-1830, when he was 25. That's how.
@CSLewisDaily Unless you're sealed by proper authority. Eternal marriage is one of the greatest truths restored by Joseph Smith. https://t.co/magjzVjyLV
@carsales_guy I'd bet the days' supply in Utah is so high because prices here are so high and people refuse to pay them. I almost always buy out of state because everything is so overpriced here.
@shelflessbishop It's actually much more simple than you're making it The doctrine is to follow the prophet. He's the only authorized voice to expound the doctrine and interpret scripture. If he says hot drinks mean coffee and tea, that's the doctrine. Easy.
@KalanisCalves More incentive for irresponsible fathers. Please realize that the reason these kids don't have enough food in the first place is cause the government replaced fathers in the 60's with this same philosophy. It ends in misery and the destruction of society itself. Don't be seduced
@LDSdiscussions To everyone who doesn't believe in the BOM. I'm ok with that. I don't expect everyone to. But I do. Citing other religions or comparing what you assume my experience to be with them doesn't change that. I'm grateful beyond words for what the book has done for me. It's true.
@LDSdiscussions I love the Book of Mormon. It's changed my life and many others. Studying the book with real intent is an easy way to know he didn't make it up. I don't think people realize how obviously false the claim that he fabricated it is to those who study it every day.
@Spencer4true@TutuncommonSent @LDSdiscussions Harry Potter definitely could be beneficial to someone. But Potter doesn't purport to be non-fiction like the BOM. It doesn't ask you to come to any conclusions as to it's veracity. That's one reason why the BOM is so powerful. Its claims are unprecedented.
@TutuncommonSent @LDSdiscussions Try it! Read the book of Mormon every day. You will feel increased power to overcome trials. It will help you become a better person. You will see the fruits and you will know as I do.
@MormonArchaeol1 Great stuff! I love the thought of Lehi offering sacrifices as almost a shaking off the dust of Jerusalem from his feet as a testimony against them.
@MormonArchaeol1 It's interesting how critics of the BOM insisted for years that there were no rivers near Jerusalem that could possibly match the description found in the text. How did Joseph Smith know the river existed? He didn't, because he didn't write the book. He translated it, as he said
