@matthias_mrc 75%. I'm not a bad engineer, but I've been severely burned out lately and had some health issues. 25% when I improve my physical and mental health a bit and get my shit together (because I will work slower)
@Sir_Dammed I stated it in a post about Witcher 4 and I will state it again, women should not be protagonists of action games or action movies, unless they are made by the Japanese, Koreans or the Chinese
@21CenturyBoomer People who don't work in software engineering really underestimate how much truly asinine code and architecture there is in existing codebases (including big and important projects). Also every UE game I played in the last years had terrible performance
I think I understand the Jews. After reading anti-AI Luddites and doomers crying for the US government to protect to restrict their access to frontier technology and hand it over to the parasites and tyrants, I do truly hate the goyim
@LiebermanAustin By the US government to push for AI regulation and restrict access to the tech to the public so that only the glowies and the state approved actors can use frontier tech
@BitcoinRothbard Maybe there is a glowie holding a gun to their head every waking moment to make them push this insipid narrative. They sure act like it
@paulhoti2 That's just the natural consequence of the welfare state in every single country, not just America. Older generations devouring the young, instead of building a better future. I also hope the older generation dies in my country, sooner the better
@iey0beeW@itssanman But they are not baseless? Also you are yet to make a single argument in this thread that isn't "that's collectivism to make statistical predictions", which is not even an argument for anything
@iey0beeW@itssanman Case and point about the Russians example. I assume that most Russians I will ever interact with will be philosophically illiterate, authoritarian, judgmental and conformist. The Russian content or sources are going to be of lower quality. This heuristic proved useful
@iey0beeW@itssanman It's a heuristic that helps save time and mental energy. You don't have to be obsessed with that heuristic to the point that you are unable to see past it. But when you interact with people, you act on incomplete information and using a statistical prior is cheaper
@orion8137244788@Zigga911 I don't really care if God exists or not. Even if he does (which nobody managed to prove yet), God existing does not logically imply that he gets to be the arbiter of objective morality. To me it's a non sequitur
@orion8137244788@Zigga911 Thank you for an explanation. I disagree that you cannot make an appeal to objective morals without accepting divine command, but I understand the argument
@iey0beeW@itssanman I am not asking you about utility. Let's assume that I have an irrational dislike of Russians and I don't want to deal with them unless I have to. Who am I aggressing against? These are just thoughts in my head that I'm using to manage my property (my time and my feelings)
@itssanman You can have a negative opinion about a group and still treat individuals belonging to that group with respect (case and point, I live in Russia, I hate most Russians, but I do have friends and many people I like)
@itssanman Can you explain why do you consider racism immoral? I'm not talking about aggressing against individuals on the basis of prejudice against a group they belong to, but about drawing generalized conclusions from averages
