🧵1/3 Visited Saida, South Lebanon 🇱🇧 today with @Herve_Magro@CaroitEleonore 🇫🇷, @JennyChapman 🇬🇧, @OCHALebanon & partners, we heard firsthand from families who have endured repeated displacement and trauma.
Coercive displacement means millions of civilians on the move in Lebanon. I heard today in Beirut deep uncertainty, stretched resilience, growing frustration and fear.
People told me they want
safety, dignity, and to go home.
Over 1 million people affected by hostilities in southern Lebanon, Bekaa and Baalbek, and Beirut’s southern suburbs since 2 March.
The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate and casualties mount.
