People with underlying health conditions come in endless forms. Even those with the same condition can be significantly different.
Don’t respond to this thread by telling me to stay home… I already am.

I was severely attacked for saying kids would get Long Covid and be harmed cognitively from infections and that it would be an equal risk with reinfections
10-20% of kids get Long Covid

Masks work👇, now imagine adding monitored ventilation and dedicated UV use in hospitals, public places, and schools....
Sorry everybody, that's too healthy as general preventive healthcare measures for our economy and you individuals! 😡
It's absurd that there is no mask mandate in place for pharmacies. We need to get as many people vaccinated with the Omicron booster as possible. But it makes no sense to ask people to risk getting COVID in order to protect themselves from COVID.
@mjrowland68 Oh come on. One moment it's effectively 'desirable' to get infected so we will release the brakes and when, whoops, it's clearly not so desirable there's another excuse for not doing anything. Lead, inspire, re-imagine, help, for goodness sake.
If you have never tweeted about the hundreds of thousands of kids in America who lost a parent or caregiver to Covid, who became an orphan since March 2020, maybe you should think twice before tweeting loudly about the damage done to kids by wearing masks (!) or school closures.
@itosettiMD_MBA@ToshiAkima Doesn’t this study test the filtration, rather than leakage? I took this thread to be specifically about leakage/fit not material filtration efficacy.
Dr. Moore says that when COVID+ people are out and about, they should "avoid vulnerable people."
So ... how's that supposed to work? Are vulnerable people going to wear signs saying, "I'm vulnerable"?
And what if their teacher has cancer? Or their classmate has diabetes?
I am hearing crickets about parental death from those who were SO worried about the ‘mental health & developmental effects’ of temporary school closures.
Losing a parent ok with the let it rip crew? Masks and clean air precautions too big a price to pay to prevent some of this?
ABC radio on the way home, talking about vulnerable people having to isolate themselves more and more to avoid Covid. Some staggering number of people with blood cancer (over 100,000?) just for starters. A quick thought experiment. Crime, and jails. /1
Out of The Lancet, one of the world's pre-eminent journals, from the brightest minds, only a fortnight ago.
They've even spelled out their interpretation, in case readers can't understand the findings.
After 5d isolation, 2/3 patients are still infectious.

@ChrisMinnsMP@AlanBixter Glad to see you acknowledging this, but also strange given that your Federal and State ALP counterparts are do the very thing that will make this worse.
Long and recurrent COVID are a massive strain on our workforce and our economy.
We need to minimise our COVID case burden: relaxing isolation rules will not do that.
The evidence is clear. 5 days iso is not enough.
