Coach Ricca transformed @StJohnsRedStorm football from a club team into an @NCAA program that ultimately reached Division I-AA.

Across 25 varsity seasons, he won 149 games, 7 championships & 4 COY honors. His 1994 team finished 10–1.

But wins tell only part of his story.

@WardyNYM He is the ultimate mistake pitcher hitter. That pitch was just hanging over the plate for him to smack. Just about all of his 2024 home runs were from the exact same spot. He has four "dead zones" that are his kryptonite. The pitchers just have to work those spots.

@JamesMcCan13417 @TalkinBaseball_ They scooped up 8 wins versus the fading Indians, Buc & Nats. I really thought the Padres would sweep them back to reality. The Marlins and Braves took the recent series from them. They really are a half minor league roster.

They should be DOA by the Yankees series.
