Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
10. Social Media Play is Secondary:
Debates over how & when fight ended or credits or discredits for cease-fire are minor. The main point is that the operation proceeded exactly as per India’s strategic script—
Jai Hind
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
9. Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) Stance:
The IWT is not covered under the ceasefire. India has reaffirmed this last night and any reconsideration of the treaty will be on Indian terms, forcing Pakistan to plead for concessions, if any.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
8. Ceasefire Violation by Pakistan:
Pakistan’s violation of the instant ceasefire within hours benefits India by establishing that future Indian strikes in Mirpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad etc are outside the ambit of current ceasefire.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
7. Strategic Disengagement:
Ceasing open hostilities at the right time allows us to focus on and pursue our other non-military, strategic avenues of pressure and avoid long-term war engagement.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
6. Limited Military Engagement:
Active warfare with Pakistan was never meant to be prolonged. The aim was to send a message demonstrating India’s will, capability and resilience with precision and clarity, which has been achieved.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
5. Simultaneous Activation:
All pressure levers have been activated concurrently, with the understanding that the fight against terror is a sustained effort, not a one-off military operation.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
4. A Message:
Precision strikes in POJK and in Pakistan sent a message showcasing India’s intent & operational capability. These are part of larger Strategic Framework including diplomatic isolation, economic restrictions and IWT.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
3. India’s Multi-Dimensional Approach:
India has adopted a strategic mix of military, diplomatic, and economic actions to counter terrorism. Strikes in POJK, economic restrictions, diplomatic isolation, control of Rivers etc etc.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
2. Recent Historical Parallel:
The on going Israel-Hamas conflict highlights how counter-terror operations can become long-drawn and multi-dimensional, dragging for months and months or years.
Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Strike, Not a War
1. Long-Term Objective:
Dismantling Pakistan’s terror infrastructure is not India's short-term goal but a long term objective —not achievable in weeks or months—due to its intrinsic nature and geopolitical complexities.

In a remarkable three-day experience, 19 students from Maharana Pratap International School, Sagwara, Dungarpur, Rajasthan, participated in an immersive #BSF Boot Camp from 03-06 Oct 2024 at Suigam, Banaskantha.
The camp featured physical training, Yoga, weapon drills, map reading, obstacle negotiation, survival techniques, Unarmed Combat, navigation, and visit to the International Border and border outposts, offering the participants an opportunity to have an introduction to weaponry, military skills, and border management.
A key highlight of the programme was visit to the Seema Darshan Nadabet, where students witnessed the renowned Retreat Ceremony. The cultural evenings allowed participants to showcase their talents and form lasting bonds, reinforcing the team spirit.
This initiative by @BSF_India in association with @GujaratTourism under the #VibrantVillage programme of @mygovindia aims to instill patriotism, discipline, leadership, and team spirit among the youth, preparing them to take on future challenges with confidence and resilience.

@htTweets Dear @KaranThapar_TTP it's important to conduct interviews with a level of respect & professionalism, not by being #arrogant or #disrespectful. Successful interview strikes balance between rigorous questioning and maintaining a respectful, civil tone, respecting other's dignity.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, the BSF troops at Rajdhan Pass rescued 15 civil vehicles carrying around 60-65 people who were stranded near Razdan Pass due to heavy snowfall. BSF teamed up with GREF and brought them safely to the BSF shelter.
#MenInBlue undoubtedly dominated the #icccricketworldcup2023 and gave us many memorable moments to cherish.
Others had their low days, we have had one too....
We all stand with #TeamIndia
All the best for next tournament.
