@abhijit_MLab Because of this is also it makes sense to keep the city free of meat shops and conducive to attaining what the city promises - the attainment of Moksha
@abhijit_MLab From this perspective, it makes sense to keep the core city free of the effects of Ahimsa. Vivekananda in his commentary on Yogasutra mentions that the holiness of places like Kashi is derived from the Tanmatra vibrations of the great Yogis who visited or stayed there.
@Anviksiki A confident civilization recovers its roots and pursues universal truth-seeking without insecurity. This is what the current IKS efforts are attempting.
@Anviksiki YoYa's dismissal of Sanskritic/Brahminical contributions is purely left ideology. Sanskrit traditions produced world-class contributions (decimal system, zero, advanced grammar, epistemology, metallurgy) Folk knowledge also matters but not at the expense of the big contributions.
@Anviksiki Earlier establishments systematically sidelined IKS for decades. Revival efforts, even if clumsy are a necessary correction to colonial and post-independence biases that treated Indian knowledge as pre-modern relic
@chixxsays Vivekananda-The Hindus have their faults, they sometimes have their exceptions but mark this they are always for punishing their own bodies and never for cutting the throats of their neighbours. The Hindu fanatic burns himself on the pyre he never lights the fire of Inquisition.
@chixxsays Hindu philosophy (Shad darshanas) is extraordinarily high IQ thinking. No race produces this kind of thinking unless the majority of them are also very high IQ. And this shows up in the extremely low violence levels among Hindus.

@maa_bhaishiiH GDP/Literacy etc can be sorted in a few decades.
North India at its zenith gave the Hindu civilization. This was an act of tremendous genius that will never be replicated. The world will never again see the likes of the brains that created Hinduism.
@maa_bhaishiiH If one can be comfortable with Hindu philosophy levels of abstraction, one can pick up any tech/math subject if one has the interest and time. The complete works also pave the path for a more serious study of the shad darshanas.
@maa_bhaishiiH For me, the biggest bang for the buck was from reading the complete works of Swami Vivekananda in my late teens. Hindu philosophical thought is highly abstract and the complete works is a marvelous synthesis.
@shrutammegopaya Dont agree with this view. One data point is that in the Sandhyavandanam, Varuna is mentioned (Imam me Varuna) but Indra is never explicitly mentioned. Maybe Indra is indirectly referred to in the Prachaya dishaya namaha as the dikpalaka of the East.
@smitadeshmukh No they will not learn, even the hard way because they have very low IQ. Nobody with even a semblance of reasonable IQ will talk like this. The future of this party is very dim because Indian voters are high IQ and wont tolerate low IQ leadership
@halleyji Real success is achieved when the play is performed with skilled precision, devoted faith and pure concentration. To succeed, the artist must immerse the spectator with pure joy of rasa experience
@sreemoytalukdar These are anarchists. India is a country of Dharma and if any political party does not show that it is willing to walk the path of Dharma, it will have a very short shelf life. The name of this party itself is incredibly flippant and indicates lack of maturity and seriousness.
@Fintech03 If the horses are very strong, and do not obey the reins, if the charioteer, the intellect, does not know how to control the horses, then this chariot will come to grief.
@Fintech03 Vivekananda says in his commentary on Yogasutra - ch 2-1 - The organs are the horses, the mind is the reins, the intellect is the charioteer, the soul is the rider, and this body is the chariot. The master of the household, the King, the Self of man, is sitting in this chariot.
