Tomorrow is #DivineMercy Sunday. May we never doubt God’s love for us, but rather entrust our lives and the world to the Lord with trust and perseverance. Let us ask Him for a just #Peace for those nations that are martyred by war.
Glory, for God, does not correspond to human success, fame and popularity, it is not a grandiose manifestation of power to be followed by public applause. For God, glory is to love to the point of giving one’s life. #GospelOfTheDay (Jn 12:20-33)
The Lord’s gaze upon us is not a blinding beacon that dazzles us and puts us in difficulty, but rather the gentle glimmer of a friendly lamp, that helps us to see the good in ourselves and to be aware of the evil, so that we may be converted and healed with the support of His grace. #Angelus
1. I carry daily in my heart, with sorrow, the suffering of the people in Palestine and Israel caused by the ongoing hostilities, with tremendous consequences on the young and the defenseless. Enough, please! Stop!
Let us #PrayTogether that the Spirit may help us recognize the gift of the different charisms within the Christian communities, and to discover the richness of different ritual traditions within the Catholic Church. #PrayerIntention#ClickToPray
In its genuine poverty, the #NativityScene helps us rediscover the true richness of #Christmas and purify ourselves from many aspects that pollute the Christmas landscape. It speaks to us of the birth of the Son of God, who became man to be close to each of us.
Let us allow Jesus the Living Bread to heal us of our self-absorption. May he open our hearts to sharing, heal us from rigidity and turning in on ourselves, and inspire us to follow him wherever he wants to lead us.
Turning the other cheek is not the withdrawal of the loser, but the action of one who has a greater inner strength, who defeats evil with good, who opens up a breach in the heart of the enemy, unmasking the absurdity of his hatred. It is dictated not by calculation, but by love.
It is only by paying attention to whom we listen, to what we listen, and to how we listen that we can grow in the art of communicating, the heart of which is not a theory or a technique, but the openness of heart that makes closeness posible. #WCD https://t.co/K9xSdRWgdI
For it to be truly #Christmas, let us not forget this: God comes to be with us and asks us to take care of our brothers and sisters, especially the poorest, the weakest, the most fragile, whom the pandemic risks marginalising even more.
