Meet MAGAt Zack Scrivner, a prominent figure in California GOP politics who served on the Kern County Board of Supervisors from 2010 until his resignation in August 2024 following a domestic dispute involving allegations he molested one daughter and was stabbed by abnother who was defendign her.

The severe legal actions against him trace back to an incident on April 23, 2024, at his home in Tehachapi, where responding deputies reported he was experiencing a drug-induced psychotic episode. In February 2025, California Attorney General Rob Bonta officially filed multiple felony charges against him following an extensive state-led investigation.

According to the official California Department of Justice complaint, Scrivner faces three felony counts of child abuse/willful cruelty to a child and two felony counts of possessing illegal assault weapons. The altercation at his home initially erupted after he allegedly molested his 12-year-old pre-teen daughter while intoxicated on a cocktail of drugs.

During the chaos, his children intervened to protect her, resulting in a violent struggle where Scrivner pointed firearms at his family. His son wrestled an assault weapon away from him, and Scrivner was stabbed twice in the upper torso with a pocket knife by his daughter during the physical altercation to subdue him. Despite the severe molestation allegations, the state omitted formal sex crime charges, enabling Scrivner to qualify for a court-approved mental health diversion program in December 2025 to avoid prison time.

If this is true, this is actually a time to pray for Talarico. We should, of course, savagely mock his smug, awful campaign advisors, by all means...and while yes, of course, this would be disqualifying for Talarico's aspirations to be a Texas Senator, we must hold empathy for anyone undergoing crisis. Campaigns are brutal, and not everybody is cut out for it. You need very thick skin. As much as I don't want Talarico anywhere near government, I also don't want wish him harm, and no political office is worth having a breakdown. His awful advisors are at fault for this. They pushed him to be something he isn't, and it didn't work.

I'm praying that this isn't true, and he's OK. You want to win these fights on the battlefield of ideas, not the minefield of poor health.
